Book a 'Waste Safari' at our Wollert Resource Park!

On Saturday, 29 March, from 9:30am – 3:30pm, we opened our doors for a free event so visitors can explore the future of waste management with our aptly named ‘Waste Safari Open Day’!

Our Resource Rangers hosted 30-minute bus tours for a first-hand look at our sustainability efforts and innovative waste management solutions. Visitors saw how we’re creating renewable energy from the methane produced, due to the breakdown of waste, which is then used to power our data centre.

For example, visitors discovered how we’re restoring quarry land use for native habitats and learned about our phytocap revegetation program (that’s where we deposit waste into a fully lined ‘cell’ that is then capped and revegetated to support local flora and fauna, while also reducing leachate).

If you are a local community group or regulator and would like to visit Wollert Resource Park, please book a Waste Safari tour and learn about the strides we're making towards a circular economy!
